As Seen On TV

So back on Monday I told you about my new favorite appliance.

Sorry, coffee maker, you are now second.

This is the dreamboat I was referring to.

I have never bought an “as seen on TV” product before.  Mostly because I just figured none of that crap was ever worth the money.

Wrong.

This thing is amazballs.

I’ve been playing with it almost everyday since I purchased it.  This is the system that works for me so far.

First, I blow dry my hair.  obvs.

Then I use this John Freida Finishing Creame.  It keeps my hair from going bonkers while I curl it.  Prevents fly aways and baby hairs from going rouge.

Then, I tease my roots a bit with a comb and this Treseme Hair Spray.

Then I use the curling iron to curl big sections of my hair.  Then spray it with the hairspray and touch up crazy baby hairs with the finishing creame.

This whole process takes about as long as it did to straighten my hair.

Its been an adjustment to wrap my hair around the barrel with my hands instead of twisting it up like you would with a traditional curling iron.

This baby even comes with a super stylish heat resistant glove.

And here is the finished product.

If you don’t know, Houston is the land of humidity.  These 2 products are amazing for holding curls.  I used to always straighten my hair here because curls were a futile effort.  As soon as I stepped outside it would all be flat. For whatever reason, the combo of these products and this curling iron have saved my curls.

And the day I took this picture, it rained.  My curls were in tact after the downpour! I didn’t get super wet but still, with humidity like that usually they are long gone.

Now I’m about to do something on this blog that I’ve never done before: post a pic from when I woke up.  Only because I need to show you guys 2 things.  1) My curls are still there after a rainstorm and sleeping 8 9 hours. 2) remember what I said yesterday about that eyeliner.  Yeah, still there looking amazing.

Please ignore the giant handbags under my eyes.

So now you can expect me to have my hair down and curled in almost every outfit post from here on out.

Its just too much fun to cheat the Houston weather.
