Ode to Omaha

Ok. So this isn’t about our Halloween party. Obvs.
So my card reader hates me (probably because I always put it in the junk drawer) and decided to die and that’s why it’s Nov 3rd and there are still no pictures up of Halloween.

Husband is buying me a new one today.

Regularly scheduled posting of 90% pictures 10% me complaining will resume tomorrow.

This post will be about Omaha.

No, there aren’t gonna be any pictures. But there won’t be complaining either.

Cuz I pink puffy heart Omaha.

OK if I were to go to Omaha tomorrow what would I do?

#1 on the List = eat at Upstream Brewery

Beer = fantastic

Fish and chips = better than I had in London (seriously)

People watching from their patio = my server is begging me and my friends to leave as we’ve been there for 4 hours gawking at people walking around the Old Market.

#2 go to thrift stores

Scout is my favorite. It’s in Dundee. I go there on Sundays cuz they throw a bunch of stuff in a pile on the floor and mark it $1.

Then I buy 10 things.

And when I wear one of those 10 things and Husband asks if its new I can say yes but it only cost me $1!!

Boom roasted Husband. Boom roasted.

PS they have an etsy store here

#3 drive by Rosenblatt

Sad Sad Sad. I probably won’t be able to do this ever again.

I really want to get my hands on one of the old wooden seats they used to have.

Remember those?

I would like a bright red one.

Also I would like a big basket of those weird fries.

You know what I’m talking about.

If I happen to be around Omaha when they tear this place down I’ll be the crazy bizzo chained to one of the seats crying and stuffing my face with an onion blossom.

John Knicely will report on me and my crazy antics.

Watch.

Well the real reason I’m reminiscing about Omaha today is because Husband is the bomb.

He bought me a plane ticket home for my birthday. (calm down mom, I know you’re woo hooing at work right now)

Can’t wait to see all of you crazies.

NOT looking forward to being in Nebraska in January.

I’ll just have to buy a fancy new coat.

Or 10…

Sweet! But hey, we’re getting a taste of ‘Houston’ weather right now. 60s most of the week, and it’s November!

Rosenblatt… sad for sure.. especially because I never got a chance to go. But hey..heres and idea- if you happen to get your hands on an old wooden seat, you might as well get two and make them into stools to put at that table off the wall in your attic! Wouldnt that be cool? (Im sure Hubby would definitely approve as well)
