8 Pieces, 8 Outfits: Day 3 (The Wedding)

Our family weddings get out of control.

We always think we’ll keep it in the bag but we never do.

Everyone in my family gets married in our neighborhood church.

After the wedding we go to the neighborhood bar.

Then after the bar we go to the reception.

Then after the reception we go back to the neighborhood bar.

We don’t necessarily drink at the neighborhood bar (although that does tend to happen), it’s mostly the site of story telling and catching up.  In other words:

Out. Of. Control. Fun.

I had one, and only one, outfit picked out for this wedding.

Wedding Day: Pieces #4 and #8
Added: Red belt from an H&M dress,
Target lace tights,
Charlotte Russe nude pumps,
Vintage clip earrings and pearls
This dress is probably one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time.
I got tons of compliments on this dress and it was so comfy.
I added lace tights at the last minute.  The temp on the day of the wedding was a bit colder than expected.
The actual day of the wedding I wore my hair in a sock bun, which my mom said made me look like Tinker Bell.
My babies siblings.  I’m the oldest by a decent amount. I’m also the shortest by a decent amount.
Me, My Mom and my baby Sister
We are a smart family so we take all our family pics at the beginning of the night. Also you may notice that all my jewelry had been removed at this point.
This isn’t my first rodeo.
Because soon after dinner, it starts to look like this:
As someone who loves to dance, the reception at our family weddings is my favorite.
I can honestly tell you that currently the bottom of my white lace tights is black.
I put in some work.
I dance the polka like a pro.

Respect.
