Ash Ash baby

Its Ash Wednesday.

Its a good time to reflect on my New Years Resolutions:

Being Positive: umm B (if you ask Husband he will say C)

Going to the Gym more often than not: total D

Be a better blogger: you guys know the answer to this. C (if I’m being generous)

Find my dream job: F (still haven’t found it, not doing a good job of looking)

Finish the House: A  Floors are in. yay! Laundry room and powder room are next. Yay!!

So now for Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, I’m supposed to be giving something up in addition to abstaining from meat on Fridays (and, well, today)

I’m having a difficutlt time with that logic at this point.  I’m supposed to be being more positive. Denying something will make me a bizzo and a half.

So I’m thinking I will take a mantra, a saying, and try and embody that everyday.

That, in and of itself, will be challenging to me.

My brain goes all over the place.

Focus is something I lack.  (Clearly if you read this blog you are aware)

So the matra I’ve chosen is as follows:

Out of Clutter, Find Simplicity.
From Discord, Find Harmony.
In the Middle of Difficutlty, Lies Opportunity.
~Albert Einstien

Husband will just be tickled that its an Einstien quote.  Such a nerd.

So my goal for these 40 days is to absolutely, positively, focus on doing those things stated in the quote above.

Judging by my progress with my resolutions I need to gain some focus.

At least for the next 40 days.

What are you guys doing for lent?
