Awkward and Awesome

Sydney usually does this on Thrusdays, but I had enough awkwardness happen this weekend to justify a post today.

Also, I may or may not have forgotten to take outfit pictures yesterday.

Awkward:

– While walking through Riverside park I spied a guy running while pushing 1930s antique pram and wearing booty shorts.  I really wanted to take a pic but I was too awestruck by his ability to rock the eff out of those booty shorts and he was running to fast.

– Working up the nerve to trim my own bangs.  While getting ready for church yesterday, I realized I couldn’t really see through my bangs. Prolly and indication they need to be trimmed a bit.  So now I’m educating myself on how not to butcher my bangs.  Cross your fingers.

– The giant handbags that are currently setting up shop below my eyes.  I could. not. sleep. last night. And now I look approximately 1 million years older than my actual age.

Awesome:

– Husband comes home today after 5 weeks abroad.  Hell to the yes.  However, this is the reason I didn’t sleep last night.  The night before Husband comes home I just can’t sleep.  I think its half excitement and half ‘holy shit I should clean this apartment’.

– The music at my church.  You guys.  I can’t believe that I get to hear these people sing for free.  I suppose I live in a city that is chock full of musical talent, but these people blow me away every Sunday.

– My cousin and his girlfriend came and visited last week  (thus my absence).  I haven’t seen them in about 2 years.  We had an absolute blast together.

– I scored a TON of awesome stuff at H&M this weekend.  Blew my whole shopping budget (is anyone surprised?) I also randomly stumbled onto a vintage hat shop with cousin’s girlfriend, H.  She bought the cutest freaking hat that only a girl like her could pull off.  I found 2 vintage necklaces in the clearance bin for $3 a piece.  I had to talk myself out of a fascinator/headband combo that was $56.  It is way cuter than it sounds.
