Awkward and Awesome

I totally stole borrowed this idea from The Daybook.

I needed a topic and my day is full of packing up all our shiz cuz we are heading south tomorrow.

Sad Panda.

But we’ll be taking our sweet ass time by going through the Twin Cities, Omaha, and Kansas.

Anyway…. Awesome and Awkward

Awkward:
Going to pay for my thrift finds with a credit card when the shop only took cash/checks.  (seriously, who uses checks anymore?) So I ran to the bank. ATM is broken.  Try to go inside.  15 people in line.  Back in the car and finally go through the drive through and get my $15.  I was shocked my clothes were still behind the counter when I got back. Only in Minnesota.
While renewing our vows, my in-laws neighbor decided to jump on his seadoo (that’s Minnesotan for jet ski) and rev the engine for 10 minutes straight.  No exaggeration. Husband and I nearly died laughing.
Watching Bachelor Pad with my Father in Law.  Enough said.
Awesome:
Motorcycling with Husband on the bike he wooed me with. I was always a sucker for the badasses.  Little did I know Husband is a nerd with a badass exterior.  Win-win if you ask me.
This is a SCANNED pic from Sept 2003 of me with 2 friends on said motorcycle.  Husband and I weren’t even dating at the time.  3 years later we’d be married.  (cue the collective awwww….) Moral of the story: chicks dig motorcycles.  And nerds.
Renewing our vows in front of our families and good friends. (minus a few)
 Besties fo’ Life!
Being able to go to the Minnesota State Fair tomorrow and eat a fried Snickers, cheese curds, and mini donuts.  Not to mention seeing the Princess Kay of the Milky Way’s head carved in butter.  I’m about to get really chubby, folks.
First Husker game of the season is Sat. Sept. 3rd!  I get to watch it with some pretty awesome people, too.  I’ll give you a hint: scroll up.  See those peeps?  I get to hang with them again very soon.
I’m one lucky girl.
