Confessions of an Oil Wife

This is going to be all “waaaa I’m bored/alone/talk to my dogs because no one is home”

so don’t say I didn’t warn you….

So. For those of you that don’t know, the oil field sux. I think most of my facebook statuses (stati?) involve me saying “suck it oil field, kthxbi”

However, Husband loves the challenge and the work and I love a happy husband (and traveling to places I’ve never been and getting presents from Paris) but really happy husband = happy wife.

However, these last 4 months seem like a huge bitch slap from the universe.

Elaboration: 1) volcanoes are my new least favorite natural disaster (that is saying a lot because I could be blown away by a hurricane) Apparently a volcanic eruption can prevent air travel. Why didn’t they teach us that in 3rd grade science? hmmm?

2) EG (that’s equatorial guinea for you oil field newbs) needs to try and keep the power on so Husband can actually call me/email me/reassure me he is, in fact, alive! Not cool, EG, not cool.

3) Dogs = I don’t want babies FOR A LONG TIME. Good lord, I can barely keep up with them. They chew stuff and pee and bite and bark at EVERYTHING and zzz..omg I’m going INSANE! Moms with babies with their Husbands away (Jessica I’m talking to you, girl) I bow at your feet cuz you are the freaking queens of the world and you should wear a bedazzled tiara every single day cuz you are the bomb diggity…

4) Planning a vacation that involves 2 weddings, a bachelorette, a road trip with 2 dogs by yourself = HARD. and I’m a planner…

ok. if you made it this far you’re amazing and probably have nothing better to do right now. But still your the bomb.

PS to make this post worth it… My NOM-tastic puppy Sheldon when he was a little squinch baby….. You’re welcome.

PPS: Husband is scheduled to come home May 15th(ish) Can’t. Freaking. Wait. 🙂
