Current State of Affairs
I got this idea from Rare and Beautiful Treasures.
I don’t have anything to write about at the moment.
So I concocted some randomness for ya.
Current Guilty Pleasure: chocolate from Trader Joes and watching random HBO sports movies on Sundays
Current Nail Color: none, unfortunately. I used the rest of my January budget this month on yarn for my scarf so I can’t afford a manicure. I can paint my own nails about as well as a 3 year old child.
Current Playlist: a mix of Al Green, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Zero 7, Lupe Fiasco, Lloyd Banks, and No Doubt. Doesn’t get much more random than that.
Current Read: I’m sorry to admit that I’m about to start reading “Lies that Chelsea Handler Told Me” In my defense, it was on sale at Urban Outfitters for $9. I try and rotate trashy books with intelligent books. Too much intelligence makes me smarter than Husband and I think that would make him insecure.
Current Drink: Coffee (duh) and tons and tons of water. My skin is not used to the dry weather anymore. So to avoid drying up like a prune I drink water like its going out of style.
Current Food: Blueberries from the produce stand on the corner, chocolate from Trader Joes, and potato latkes. Sounds healthy right?
Current Favorite Show: Normally, I would say How I Met Your Mother but they are on their 3rd week of reruns so they are on my shit list as of late. So New Girl will be my answer for today.
Current Wish List: sun to stream in my apartment. I really think its just the daylight savings and the scaffolding that is in front of our building that makes this apt cave like. My solution as of late is to just turn on all the lights. Electricity bill be damned!
Current Needs: writing inspiration, blogging topics, better picture taking skills
Current Triumphs: Landing a 6 week trial as a fashion blogger on a new site called Forever Dope (please see ‘Current Needs’ above) After 6 weeks they will evaluate my performance and decide if they want to hire me on. You guys. This is the dream….
Current Blessing: Husband being home.
Current Excitement: February. So I can have more budget for yarn to make more scarves. I may have a problem that rivals my chocolate/wine habit. watch out.
Current Mood: Nervous. Mostly about writing about fashion and writing about fashion for someone else. eek!
