Drinking Wine Serves a Greater (Greener) Purpose

My name is Raych and I love wine.

Wine serves a purpose in my life.  relaxation. solves boredom. something to drink at dinner.  and now, thanks to Kendi at Kendi Everyday my wine serves another purpose.  A practical purpose.

I’ll back it up.  So since the floors are done (including the carpet in my closet. finally) I’ve been organizing like a crazy person.

My closet migrated to my bathroom for a week or so, and as I migrated it back to its home, I organized, therw out, etc.  I basically followed Kendi’s “Create a Working Closet “series.

Part 3 changed my world.  Let me just recite the sentance that spoke to me.  (well imagine me reciting it to you) “You want to know a hint? Put a few clean and empty wine bottle in your boots to help keep them upright.” ~Kendi Everyday

Poetry.  Pure and simple.

I happen to have some flopppy boots and I happen to keep various wine bottles for various reasons.  (I keep telling myself I’ll run all the glass bottles to the recycling center but never do.  Houston is so backwoods that we don’t have recycling in our neighbohood. thats another post for another day)

Now they serve a purpose.  And I don’t have to drive through the horrendous Houston traffic to take my fallen soldiers to the graveyard.  Husband will love that I won’t be spending too much money at Bed Bath and Beyond for those cedar boot shaper thingys.

So ladies (and the occasional gent), drink your wine proudly! Its your social responsibility to save the planet!

P.S. my version of Kendi’s “Working Closet” series is on its way.  Be cool my babies! I have to have a blast in NYC first.

P.P.S. anyone catch the Conan reference? Conan also serves a purpose in my life.
