The Talk

My day at CBS’s The Talk was an absolute BLAST.

I can see why my cousin loves working there.  Everyone was so fun and nice.

Once I got through security and signed my waiver form, they led me to my seat.  The way that the studio was set up in New York was different.  There was the IN studio audience and then there was people sitting outside.

Since I was VIP (my cousin rocks) I got to sit inside and I was right behind Julie Chen.

When the ladies walked in I got to shake all their hands.

Including Mrs. Osborne who is my hero.  She swears and tells the truth and I freaking love her.

These are screenshots from the episode online.  So the quality is pretty bad.  And thats all you see of me. My hair and my back.  I was going to wear my hair up in a cute ponytail so you could see my face but I burnt the ever loving shit out of my neck while curling my hair.  I didn’t want to appear on TV with what looks like a hickey on my neck.

Once they made their way to the table they started talking (obvs).  I was surprised how hard it was to hear them.  It makes sense I guess, they don’t project the sound from the mics into the room cuz there would be feedback.  I’m assuming.

Right before Donnie Wahlberg (swoon) came out they took a commercial break.  3 guys ran in and literally unscrewed the table top and carted it off and brought in a new one that was much bigger.

Then Donnie came out.

And I died.

He is super hot in person.  I was all flushed and excited.

Brought me back to my NKOTB days.

He was wearing a plaid blazer and old school black high tops.  I wish he could have stayed for the whole show. I could listen to that man read the phonebook.

Mrs. O did a little stint as Mary Poppins so we watched that clip.  Then they gave us all tickets to the Broadway show.  Score!

The next guest was Gayle King.  She was impeccably dressed and very well spoken.  I really enjoyed listening to her talk.

Right before all the ladies went outside to end the show, I pulled Sheryl Underwood aside as she was gettign her coat on.

She’s an Omaha native and I gushed all over her about how I think she’s hilarious and awesome.  And then, in true Omaha fashion, we just kept saying things about Omaha only Omahans would know.

Runza!

Crossroads!

Mr. Cs!

Then she gave me a big hug and I died again.**

Here are some pics I took.  They are with my cell and only from the outside.  We couldn’t bring our phones out inside the studio.

Mrs. O as she was whisked away into a fancy black Escalade.

** so after the show I tweeted that it was awesome to meet Sheryl and she tweeted me back and followed me!  I feel so special 🙂
