Omaha, Somewhere in Middle America…

This may be the most random post in the history of posts.

Husband and I stopped in Omaha for a bit before we headed to MN.  I spent a good deal of time with my siblings which is always fun.

I am the oldest of this brood.
See that one in the back on the left?
He was born when I was 14.  He makes me feel old on a daily basis.  Also, he is now taller than me which makes me think I could be shrinking.
See that one in the back on the right?
She’s a model and is exactly 9 years younger than me. I am jealous of her skin and her long hair.  Am I the only person who has developed bad skin in my 20s?
See the 2 jokers on either side of me?  They keep me young.
See that hat on my head?  I love it cuz it means I don’t ever have to do my hair if I don’t want to.
Are you still here? Cuz this blog post has gotten off track. It happens.
The boy on the left above is dating the girl on the left below.
I stole these pics from this lil lady.  I have been a bad picture taker.  She’s so fun and nice to talk to when Husband and my brother drag us to the bar (please see pic above and our utter excitement).  Check out her blog here.  She’s an almost teacher, a turtle momma, and a hockey fanatic.  aka fun times.
Yesterday was our first full day in MN.
We took the pups swimming in the lake.  Sheldon was terrified.  Which is odd cuz he swims freely in the gulf when we are in Texas.
Why the clam waters of a lake terrify him and the giant waves of the ocean don’t is beyond me.  I don’t try and decipher Basset Hound logic.
Tonight we are headed back to the local community theater that I visited last time I was here.  I’ll give you my honest and very respected review tomorrow…. also perhaps an outfit post.
Sorry for the randomness of this post
Title = lyrics by the Counting Crows. I was obsessed with this song in high school.

You know, I had great skin as a teen, and now in my 20s it’s getting progressively worse. Weird, isn’t it? But you’re not alone 🙂

Thanks for the comment, by the way! Would you believe I got those shoes on final clearance at Old Navy? Score!

(Also, I’m 17 years older than my youngest sister. I definitely can relate to the “making me feel old” thing, hahaha)
